The National Homeownership Fund (NHF) will host its 2026 National Homeownership Fair in Accra next week as part of efforts to tackle Ghana’s housing deficit and expand access to affordable homes.
The two-day event is scheduled for March 4 and 5, 2026, at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (Old Office), beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day. It will be held under the theme, “Building Ghana: One Home at a Time.”
Organisers say the fair will convene major players across Ghana’s housing value chain, including estate developers, financial institutions, regulators and other service providers, to offer practical solutions to homeownership challenges.
Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Julius Debrah, is expected to serve as Guest of Honour. The Minister of Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson, and the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, will attend as Special Guests.
According to the NHF, the fair is designed to provide prospective homebuyers with direct access to developers and mortgage providers, while also offering panel discussions aimed at simplifying the homeownership process. Participants will have the opportunity to explore financing options and gain insight into government-backed initiatives and private-sector partnerships focused on boosting housing supply and affordability.
The NHF, a government-backed institution, is mandated to address barriers to homeownership in Ghana. Its work centres on expanding access to affordable housing through innovative financing models, particularly for first-time buyers.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Organisers are encouraging prospective homeowners, developers, financiers and other industry stakeholders to attend and explore viable pathways to owning a home.
