The Odoi Kese family of Obosomase Akuapem has issued a stern warning to individuals claiming ownership of their lands in Dodowa, Apolonia, and other areas to cease their activities or face the consequences.
Newly installed family head, Emmanuel Opare Sewueh, gave the warning during his inauguration ceremony in Obosomase, Eastern Region.
He expressed concern over individuals claiming ownership of their lands, leading to disputes and tensions in the affected areas.
Mr. Sewueh emphasized that the family will not sit idle and watch as their lands are taken over by unscrupulous individuals.
He cautioned those involved in land grabbing to desist immediately, warning that the family would take drastic measures to protect their interests if they failed to comply.
Lead Manager of the Odoi Kese family lands, Alhaji Nuru Saleeden, stressed that the five family gates are united in this matter.
He urged individuals who have taken the law into their own hands to desist from unlawful land grabbing and instead follow due diligence to acquire lands from the rightful owners.
Principal member of the family, Osabarima Esaah Kwesi Bediako III, Anum Asamankese Chief, congratulated the newly installed family head and urged him to continue the family’s inheritance
path, ensuring unity and peace prevail within the family.
The Odoi Kese family assured the public of their commitment to peaceful coexistence and warned that they would not hesitate to seek legal redress if their lands were encroached upon.
They urged all stakeholders to respect their rights and interests in the affected areas.
