The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ejisu Constituency, John Kumah has set his eyes on securing over 95% votes for the President, Nana Akuffo-Addo in the upcoming general elections on December 7.
He made this assertions when he cut the sod for the construction of a new Party office.
Mr. John Kumah in a short ceremony indicated that his predecessors did their best and is of the view that, the time has come for them to continue the good work for the NPP and Ejisu.
According to him, he made it known at the time he was yearning to become parliamentary candidate for the constituency that he will not wait to become a member of parliament for the area before he starts initiating projects and has, therefore, indicated that the construction of the party office is clear example of the promises he made during primaries.
He stressed that, the project which is expected to be completed in the next six months is being funded by over 50 NPP government appointees who are natives of Ejisu.
He said, a dinner fund raising for the project is going to be held to raise funds for the project.
“Construction of the party office is a collective effort but not individual. So I will plead with everyone to contribute his or her quota towards the project” he said.
He said, Ashanti region is known to be a major strong hold for the NPP and for that matter, in the quest to welcome the NPP in a grand style into the region they have decided to construct a befitting party office in Ejisu.
He has called on Ghanaians to be keen about the new voters register and has implored them to go out and register.
“Our target for the presidential election is to get 95% votes. We will plead with everyone do his or her part in making sure the said target is achieve in the polls”
He commended the Nkosuohene of Ejisu, Nana Kofi Adu I for availing the land for them to construct the office without paying any amount.
The Nkosuohene of Ejisu, Nana Kofi Adu I lavished praises on John Kuma for his good communication skills and also been a hard worker. He said, it is as a result of his kind gesture that is why he gave out the land for free.
“Due to John Kuma’s good behavior, I have award the land to the NPP free of charge. So I will plead with those holding positions in the country to respect, have good communication to be able to attain greater height”
He has, therefore, pleaded with government to collaborate with Chiefs so they can all contribute towards the growth of the country.
