The Pan African Art Ambassador, Prince Kojo-Hilton was one of the participants that won big at this year’s World Institute for Peace conference that was held in Nigeria over the weekend.
Dr. M. Ade Adesina, Mr. Oludare Oluwashina, Mrs. Adekoya Oluwadamilola, Dr. (Mrs) B.I Awosika, Mr. Charles Akinwon, Amb. Soyebi Oluwakemi were the rest of the awardees at the event.
The World Institute for Peace in Partnership with the Adeyemi college of Education in Ondo State held this year’s World Peace Connect Africa seminar aimed at training over one thousand (1,000) students to be self-reliant through vocational education.
The event which started on the 18th March 2019 and ended on 22nd March 2019 took participants through visual Arts theatre and Film production courses. The Participating students were highly elated about the success of the event and urged organizes to extend it to cover some other technical areas.
The program was facilitated by World Institute for Peace in partnership with Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, hosted by Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, the Executive Chairman of World Institute for Peace (WIP), International
It was hosted by Dr. Samuel Akintunde the Provost of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo and monitored by Dr. B.I Awosika, Director, Directorate of International Linkages and Research of the College and ably supported by the Students’ Union and the management of the College led by Comrade Adebusoye Oluwatobi.
World Institute for Peace brought from different angles the trainers that trained the students on different fields of vocational education.
The aim of the organization on this project is to be engaging youths in the world in vocational education so as to be curbing poverty rate in the world to promote culture of peace.
Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, the Founder/Executive Chairman of World Institute for Peace pledged to extend the project across borders. At the international event, Dr. M. Ade Adesina was the Keynote Speaker. He spoke a lot about the importance of vocational education in the world.
Award of World Icon of Peace WiP was bestowed upon those that have tried tremendously in promoting the culture of peace in their different career. H.E. AMB.
