The Kingmakers and Council of Elders of ‘Dzenge We’ of Nungua and surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region, have announced the enstoolment of a new chief for Sarkumono.
The new Chief was enstooled under the stool name Nii Dzenge III.The enstoolment was done at Dzenge We in Nungua yesterday.
After going through the customary and traditional processes, the Chief was outdoored and presented to the larger family/clan and the entire Nungua and the Sarkumono Township in a colourful procession through the principal streets.
The enstoolment and outdooring of the new Chief were performed and witnessed by the Asafoatse Abuye Nokpo Kakai of Nungua and witnessed by several Chiefs within Accra.
The new Chief, known in private life as Mr. Samuel Alabi Ga is meant to help Foster peace and unity within Sarkumono.
Speaking at the function, the new Chief Fia of Sarkumono pledged to make the development of area his focus.
He said, “I look forward to working with the Community leaders, District Assembly, NGOs, Government, and Businesses to bring the town, which is the eye of the Ga State back on track as the vibrant town it used to be some years back.
For his part, the Dzaasetse of Dzenge We, Nii Borketey Wulu, assured the new chief of their supports towards the total development of the area.
The Dzaasetse also advised the chief to ensure that lost image of Sarkumono was installed within the shortest possible time.
