Elders Warn Intruders
The attention of the Anona Royal Stool of Senya Beraku has been drawn to a publication in the Daily Graphic of Wednesday, 2nd October, 2019, in which Ampabo Nenyi Kweku Issiw VI, the paramount chief of the Senya Beraku traditional Area made certain claims to Senya Beraku stool lands and it wishes to respond as follows:
1.That all lands in Senya Beraku are stool lands and the only stool which has the title to Senya Beraku lands is the Anona Royal Stool for the sake of clarity, Anona Family deem it necessary to make available some brief Historical facts with legal authority to support its claims.
Senya Beraku was first discovered and settled by the Royal Anona Family led by Nenyi Amartey Sarfo which was the only legitimate family with the right to choose and install a chief as the supreme leader in the traditional area. This went on for hundreds of years until the reign of one Akondo Kow Nkwanta of the Royal Anona Family, when a war broke out.
It was said that in the course of the war, a female member of the Twinda Family called Nkwantah Otubah the daughter of Akondo the reigning chief died.
And the Twidan Stool was created by the Oma in a sort of a coup by the Asofo Companies. This was how come we had Issiw I,Issiw II now, we have Issiw VI.
During the reign of Issiw II, privately known as Jacob Johnson(Who was destooled for misconducts) he granted six concessions to one, Mr. George Macdonald but the Anona Family opposed to it claiming that Issiw stool does not have tittle to the lands in Senya Beraku the opposition and claim of Anona Family against the concession made by Issiw II gained a serious attention to calm the situation, the office provincial commissioner had to investigate the facts surrounding the claims of the Anona Family in a letter dated 28th January 1913 by the District Commissioners Office to the Central Province later confirmed the facts provided by the Central Province that the Anona Family own the lands in Senya .
That it is advised that anybody (individual or company) who transacts any business in respect of senya beraku stool land with anybody other than the royal Anona Stool does so at his or her own risk.
Signed:
1. Nenyi Nicholas Tetteh (Stool Elder)
2. Nenyi Amartey Sarfo IV
