…Accused Of Using Landguards To Attack Land Owners At Dodowa
The National Disaster Management Organization (NaDMO) Director at the Shai-Osudoku District, Nana Asante Boateng is alleged to have used his position to attack land owners and residents at Dodowa.
Mr. Boateng is alleged to have directed his fully armed men to attack the land owners who were working their lands in the morning.
The aged men and women, according to information, were beaten with hard woods, cutlasses and stones. They were rushed to the Dodowa government hospital for treatment
Narrating the incident to this paper, one of the victims, Mr. Hayford Adjanor, who survived the attack hinted that “We were on our lands working early this morning when we saw private cars packed with macho men led and the NaDMO boss, they got down and started beating us with hard wood, cutlasses, stones and other metals and threatened to kill us if we step on the land again”.
“Mr. Boateng personally hit my back with a hard wood he was holding severally till I fell on the ground emotionally” he indicated.
According to him, Mr. Boateng threatened to persistently attack them in their various homes till they stop visiting their lands.
Meanwhile, when contacted Mr. Nana Asante Boateng admitted been at the site yesterday morning but was quick to state that he did not attacked anyone though an incidence occurred in his presence.
He said to have been the real owner of the land, saying that the complainants are thieves and should therefore not be regarded.
