A post published Tuesday on the account of the Spanish public television program Mañaneros 360 on RTVE, alleging a government plan concerning Morocco, was deleted a few hours after being posted online, following a denial attributed to La Moncloa Palace.
The message, published on August 18 on the @MananerosTVE account, presented as an “exclusive” the alleged existence of a plan prepared by the Spanish government against Rabat.
The information was quickly picked up by several Spanish media outlets before prompting a reaction from the government.
According to El Constitucional, sources at La Moncloa Palace categorically denied the existence of such a plan or report, calling the information “false.”

Shortly after this denial, the Mañaneros 360 post disappeared from the social network X. The tweet’s deletion attracted attention, especially since RTVE did not immediately provide a detailed public explanation for its removal or the origin of the information initially presented as exclusive.
Traces of the segment broadcast by the program, however, remained accessible on RTVE’s platforms, while several Spanish media outlets retained references to the original message.
This episode comes at a time when relations between Spain and Morocco occupy a significant place in Madrid’s foreign policy, particularly due to the close cooperation between the two countries in several strategic areas.
The dissemination of information that could suggest a shift in the Spanish government’s position toward Rabat therefore quickly garnered attention, before the executive branch sought to put an end to the speculation.
At this stage, several questions remain open, particularly regarding the source of the information disseminated by Mañaneros 360, the conditions of its verification before publication, and the precise reasons that led to the removal of the tweet.
