The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last Tuesday shook the Asutifi South Constituency in the Ahafo Region on his campaign tour of the region.
Chairman Stephen Ntim’s first place of call was the Dadiesoaba Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Asutifi South District, where he interacted with trainee nurses.
He conveyed the NPP’s ‘bold solutions’ message which resonated well with the students. In his remarks, he underscored the importance for the students to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP, given the fact that the NPP government has restored the Nursing Training Allowance which was abolished by the erstwhile Mahama administration.
He also noted the fact that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is building two (2) major Hospitals in Kenyasi and Kukuom – both in the Ahafo Region, when completed in the next few months will employ the Nursing students and other health professionals, solving the issue of unemployment.
The Asutifi South NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Yaw Broni, on his part donated a substantial amount of cash to the school authorities to purchase a brand-new Public-Address System based on a request, while promising to fix Air Conditioners in their Assembly Hall, and also expand facilities in the College. It was a very fruitful engagement.
In a related development, Chairman Ntim, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi South, NPP Ahafo Regional Chairman and parliamentary candidate, Yaw Broni, also took time to pay a courtesy call on the traditional authorities in Dadiesoaba, before moving to the community center to address the teeming gathering in Dadiesoaba market.
The team also made a whistle stop at Sienchem, a farming community in the Asutifi South District and supported the Chiefs and people with a fundraising event to build a Community Center.
