Intelligence gathered by the New Crusading Guide newspaper revealed that there is a total upheaval at the Ministry of Health (MoH), following the Director of Human Resources (HR), Dr. Kwesi Asabir’s refusal to comply with orders from above.
Barely (4) months ago, there was media reports that cited Dr. Kwesi Asabir for his alleged involvement in extortion of huge sums of monies ranging from fifty thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵50.000) before endorsing the newly qualified Principals of Health Training Institutions for postings.
Dr. Kwesi Asabir was also cited for recommending his close female friend, Kweley Rebecca, for employment at the Ministry as a Deputy Director of Human Resource, although she isn’t qualified for the position.
According to checks, the said lady, Kweley Rebecca did not pass through the needed requirement to hold that position.
Following these developments, credible source available to this paper revealed that, Dr. Kwesi Asabir has been asked to proceed on leave for the past three weeks but refused to comply.
Dr. Asabir, according to information has transferred the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu’s driver from the ministry for doing nothing wrong.
Snippets of information received however indicate that the Minister’s driver was transferred because the Minister has raised issues concerning Dr Asabir’s refusal to proceed on leave.
This has brought a total confusion and uproar at the ministry.
