The Gbuglan quarter of Teshie in the Lekma Municipality in the Greater Accra Region has found it a need, to install their son ORIGINAL NII MARTEY LARYEA I who is known in private life as DANIEL LARYEA as the Oblahiaa Mantse (youth chief).
The said position is the first of its kind within the traditional structures of Gbugblan Quarter and Teshie as a whole.
Speaking to some elders of Gbugblan Quarter for the need of such a move, the Atofotse Sɛɛkwɛl) stated that, it’s the youth that forms a majority of the family and having their leader will complement their efforts.
Also, he is being installed to oversee all activities bordering family lands within Teshie and villages that fall under the Teshie Gbugblan family.
According to some of the youth from Teshie, Mr. Laryea will transform and have positive impact lives on the youth with humanity and philanthropic support.
Nii Lartey Yartey, commended the Gbuglan quarter of Teshie for making the right choice at the right time.
“We the youth of Teshie are grateful to our elders for choosing the leader who thinks about his followers, humble, respectful, dynamic, and intelligent to lead us”.
He furthermore stated Nii Martey Laryea I as the youth leader will unite the youth in the Lekma Municipality and assist them with training skills so that each one of them will become self-reliant.

The Renowned businessman is recognized for donations annually to the Lekma Hospital, Teshie Orphanage as well as establishing businesses for individuals especially the youth.
Mr Laryea who is known for his philanthropic efforts and also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ZINAPS FOOTBALL CLUB, a division two club based in Teshie.
