Togbe Adzimah V, Chief of Hohoe Gbi–Abansi in the Volta Region has congratulated his Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his election as the ECOWAS Chairman.
The Chief, in a statement indicated that the unanimity of other West African leaders to select President Nana Akufo-Addo to lead the sub-regional Organization is an indication of their recognition of his sterling leadership.
Togbe Adzimah V stated that the leadership qualities that President Akufo-Ado exhibited since he became the President of Ghana are factors that led to his election as ECOWAS Chairman.
“You have not relented in your efforts to bring development to all parts of Ghana, making sure that every region has its fair share of the national cake,” he stated.
Togbe Adzimah V also indicated that the policies and social intervention programmes put in place by President Akufo-Addo had saved Ghana from the COVID-19 calamity, although the pandemic has shattered the dreams of many countries across the World and also caused the death of countless human beings.
He called on President Akufo-Addo to raise the flag of Ghana high in his new office, stating that “Having being elected to this High Office in the sub-region is also a clear indication that you have kept and raised high the flag of Ghana and well positioned to build on the successes of your Predecessors.”
“I also pay glowing tribute to our Presidents of the Republic of Ghana who occupied same positions in the past. His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufuor, John Dramani Mahama,” he noted.
