Authorities of the Nungua Traditional Council in the Greater Accra Region, have stated that Traditional Authorities are not evil doers but God-fearing people.

They indicated that traditional leaders are people who contribute immensely to the country’s development.
Addressing the media at an annual ceremony meant to thank their gods and ancestors for their protections throughout the year, Nuumo Osabu, underscored the need for people to do away with various mind-sets that traditional leaders are evil doers and rather see them as partners in nation building.

He disclosed that their ancestors have over the years assisted them in many ways and need to be glorified.
“I will like to plead with all to embrace our tradition and not allow modernization to erase our beauty culture as a people,” he stated.

He seized the opportunity and advised the teeming youth in the country that would undermine their future and the country at large.

According to the Traditional Leader the youth are the future leaders of the country and there is therefore the need for them to be fully prepared for their future tasks.

“It would be very appropriate if we invest heavily in the youth since they are the future leaders of the country” he disclosed.
The Traditional Leader also pleaded with the Government to assist Traditional authorities to contribute their quota towards the total development of the country.
