Following the refusal of the Queenmother of Offuman Traditipnal Council to stop going ahead to enstool her son as a new paramount chief of Offuman Traditional Area, the majority of the Kingmakers of the council ordered the preferred choice of the area to be carried shoulder high through the principal Streets of Offuman.
The choice of the Kingmakers fell on a royal known in his private life as Mr Martin Yeboah with a stool name Nana Yeboah Dwamena Akenten lll. He is 43 years old and a teacher by a profession.
When he was carried up, he was first sent to the family shrine called Nyansu in fulfillment of the tradition and customs of the area for every new installed chief.
When they were about to finish their parade through the principal streets, the Queenmother also ordered her son to be carried shoulder high. This happened for a few minutes in their backyard with a handful of supporters rented from Tuobodom, a nearby town.
With this development, the security asked the two feuding factions to restrict their celebrations to their palaces.
Consequently, the Adehyepayin and the majority Kingmakers have petitioned the Bono East House of Chiefs Judicial Committee to call the Queenmother and her cohorts to order and restraint them for using unorthodox means to enstool Mr Collins Bawuah, to avoid any mayhem and social upheavals in the area.
A copy of the petition has also been served on the Queenmother and her associates as attached to this story.
