The Turkish government has promised to provide the needed support to the Ahafo Region to improve education, promote reforestation, build capacity and promote health care among the indigenes.
The Turkish ambassador to Ghana His Excellency Huseyin Gungor, further promised that his government would drilling of mechanized boreholes for some selected communities in the region.
He mentioned Quality education, investment, and trade conferences as some of the programs and activities that would be implemented to improve the status of the region.
The Turkish ambassador made this known when he paid a working visit to the office of the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, yesterday.
He assured that his government and counterparts would l collaborate with the Ahafo Region to support skills training and apprenticeship programs such as bakery, soap making, dress making, beads making among others
H.E. Gungor commended Ghana for its political stability, strong democracy, adding that these factors have made Ghana very attractive for investments and trade.
The Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, commended the Turkish government for strengthening and sustaining good relations between the two countries.
The Minister called for the enhancement of new economic cooperation in the area of trade and investment between Turkey and the Ahafo Region for mutual benefits.
