The Dean of Presiding Members in the Volta Region, Hon. Mawunyo Agbe, has praised His Excellency Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, the Council of State Member representing the Volta Region, for his exceptional leadership and remarkable service to the people since his election.
Speaking during the Duamenefa Foundation celebration, where the Conference of Presiding Members across the Volta Region presented a special Kente cloth in honour of H.E. Kwamigah-Atokple, Hon. Mawunyo Agbe described him as “the shining light of the Volta Region.”
“We, the Conference of Presiding Members in the Volta Region, are extremely happy to have been part of those who voted for His Excellency Kwamigah-Atokple. Ever since we made that decision, we’ve never regretted it. He has proven to be a true leader — approachable, accessible, and committed to his duty,”
said Hon. Mawunyo Agbe.

He emphasized that the Council of State Member has shown extraordinary dedication within a short period of assuming office.
“He constantly reaches out to us to understand the challenges faced by our various assemblies and helps to find solutions. Though he has not even served full year in office, his achievements are already visible and impactful,” he noted.
Hon. Agbe added that the gesture of presenting a unique Kente cloth was a symbol of deep appreciation from the presiding members for the Council of State Member’s tireless efforts.
“The Kente we offered is not just any cloth—it is a warrior’s cloth. Its inscriptions signify strength, courage, and victory. We chose it because His Excellency Kwamigah-Atokple has proven to be a true warrior for the development of the Volta Region. He is the ‘Kekeli’ — the light of our region,” he stated passionately.
He concluded by expressing optimism that H.E. Kwamigah-Atokple’s leadership would continue to inspire more development across the region and beyond.
“We believe this demonstration of love is not just for him alone but for the benefit of all citizens of the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole. We are proud of his achievements and pray for more years of impactful service,”
