The Osiahene of OsuNiiNorteyAdumuah IV has reiterated his call for sustainable peace within the rank and file of the various Quarters which constitute the Osu traditional area.
There was quite uneasy calm in the early days of the demise of the late NiiKinkaDowuona VI as the various interest groups jostled for space and recognition but it appears reason has prevailed and Osu seems to be enjoying some peace as it prepares for transition or the burial of the late Chief.
In an exclusive interview with the Osiahene of OsuNiiAdumuah IV who was recently inducted into the Dzaase of Osu to elicit his views on the state of Osu after his induction ceremony, the Osiahene stated that things have generally been peaceful and we trust that it will continue through to the final funeral rites and later the installation of NiiKinka’s successor.
However, he was quick to add that “it’s really not a perfect situation in terms of utter peace as one would wish but as you know it’s a human institution and therefore it’s normal to expect a few bottle necks but we are working assiduously to iron out all those issues out so that our beloved Osu will kick start and work again”.
“Now all we need is peace and unity within our fold to enable us see the bigger and clearer picture and the prospects of Osu especially for the youth who are the future of believed Osu… there’s more in it for all of us that what anarchy and division brings us”, he noted.
