A process of verification, authentication and validation, has underscored that claims being peddled in some media circles, that Aisha Huang was DEPORTED prior to 2017, are not supported by any OFFICIAL RECORD(S) of the Land!
Unlike the existence of proof of official repatriation documentation relative to Aisha Huang in 2018, there’s no such record for the period prior to 2017; contrary to the claims of some high-profile persons connected to “the previous regime”.
Interestingly, our multiple investigations have uncovered some very intriguing incidents concerning Aisha Huang prior to 2017.
Reliable sources within the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) and the Ghana Police Service (GPS) have intimated to us that sometime in 2013/14, Aisha Huang was arrested in Kumasi for alleged illegal mining and escorted to the GIS HQ, Accra for necessary action. That was the first arrest.
Our Research Desk found out that whiles Aisha Huang was being taken through the requisite processes, a leading member of the then ruling party, NDC (name withheld for now, because we couldn’t reach him for his reaction at press time) appeared at the Operations Department to intervene on behalf of Aisha Huang!
“Operatives at the Department advised that party political officer that the fulfilment of the pleas of his intervention was beyond their control. He then requested to meet the Boss of the GIS at the time, DCOP Dr. Alex Wiredu.”, intimated an officer who was an eye-witness.
“After his meeting with Dr. Alex Wiredu, Aisha Huang was granted bail. Suspect was taken through the necessary bail processes and handed over to that leading member of the party (NDC) in government then”, disclosed our source.
Interestingly, some recent media reports suggest that a former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin has admitted that the Chinese lady, Aisha Huang was arrested sometime in 2015, following an anti-galamsey operation in the Ashanti Region. That would represent the second arrest of Aisha Huang by Ghanaian Law Enforcement Agencies.
It would also be recalled that Mr. Kofi Jumo Asobonteng, Secretary to the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC), signed a letter in August 2016, authorizing the release of 4 Excavators and a Toyota Pick-Up owned by Ms. En Huang’s Company.
The equipment under reference, had been seized by a combined team of personnel from the BNI (now NIB), Military, Police and National Security.
In the wake of the brouhaha over the arrest and subsequent repatriation of Aisha Huang in 2018/19, a former NDC Ashanti Regional Minister on whose behalf, Mr. Asobonteng had communicated, admitted that though Aisha Huang was arrested and her equipment seized in August 2016, the REGSEC subsequently decided that her seized equipment be returned to her because the swoop operation led by the then Deputy Regional Minister was unauthorized!
The wired twist was that the purportedly unauthorized swoop was led by the then Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Andy Okrah.
That was the third time Aisha Huang had had an encounter (arrest/ invitation) with/ from Law Enforcement Agencies in the Ghanaian jurisdiction prior to 2017!
And the third time she escaped or dodged justice!
