The Gyasehene for Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council, also Akyem Kwabeng hene, Daasebre Ayimadu Kantamanto II has admonished the DCE for Atiwa West Mr. Seth Asante to respect customs & Traditions and stay away from taking his statutory right as the legitimate and gezzeted Chief for his people.
According to Dasebre Ayimadu Kantamanto II, the DCE for Atiwa West (Akyem Kwabeng is taking my statutory right by disregarding and undermining him.
Meanwhile, he’s a gazetted and sworn in chief of this town Kwabeng, and has been accepted by the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council therefore the DCE cannot do anything on the land he has given to him without notifying or informing him the Chief.
Dasebre said as a Chief who has given the Assembly land for developmental projects, should not be sidelined from the commissioning of a High Court where the Chief Justice himself, Regional Minister and many other dignitaries are attending on his land.

This is a stratagem to mean that there is no chief in Kwabeng township so it is very painful for such a thing to happen.
The excuse they gave was that there is chieftaincy dispute in Kwabeng and it is a national security threat issue does not hold and not true, there is no chieftaincy dispute here, Ghanaians should come and find out themselves if there are any such alleged falsified claims.
The DCE have turned the assembly into a business hub and trying to host any individual or business men who wish to bring any project to the town and making the assembly look like a palace hence performing the functions of the chiefs in this town.
He further stated that, the DCE is not focusing on his core mandate as DCE, he has failed to do something about the town planning scheme that we requested for because people are building anywhere, they like and he has done nothing about it.
On their cemetery, he said is even full and he has offered a vast land to the assembly that it should be prepared for use meanwhile he seems not to show any action so far.
Dasebre said he will notify the Okyenhene to call the DCE to order because he is not helping Kwabeng township and Atiwa West as a whole.
He is rather shielding the good works of H.E Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP government if he continues the path he has taken and deliberately exclude us the chiefs in the district.
Meanwhile, when the DCE Hon. Seth Asante was contacted, he admitted that the Chief wasn’t invited based on order and caution he received from the National Security and it won’t have been appropriate for him to defile that order to invite the Chief. Hence invitation to the Abusuapenin of the three gates in Akyem, therefore, not deliberate.
