Speaking to the media in an interview, he said prior to the assumption of power by the New Patriotic Party lead by President Akufo Addo the road network in is areas was immotorable and dusty. He said the poor nature of the road made it impossible for farm produce to be transported from the farms to the market centres. ‘Previously, due to the dusty and immotorable nature of the road network in the community, food products are left rotten in the farms. This is because, vehicles are not able to ply the road to their farms’, he stated.

The government made a promise to develop the country, improve the economy and ensure prosperity to the Ghanaian people and all these cannot be achieved if there aren’t good roads to connect cities, towns and regions.

As part of the government’s year of road programme, 78 critical roads of total length 2,076.84 km were identified in all the 16 regions of the country for rehabilitation at a cost of GHS 6.1 billion”.
