Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV of Agbazowem Lakple of Prampram within the Ningo-Prampram District in the Greater Accra Region has called on people to join in their quest to ensuring that this year Gbugblah Kpledom festival is celebrated without hitch.
He disclosed at a press conference at Prampram yesterday that, as traditional leaders, they were doing their best to ensure that this year celebration is done peacefully and called for support from the entire community members.
Asafoatse Bantama stressed that there would not be any room for any criminal acts that would negatively impact the success of the celebration.
“Prampram is a peaceful town, and we shall deal with any person who would want to destroy the current peace we are enjoying as a people,” he cautioned.
Asafoatse Bantama IV noted that the best way a town could boast of massive development was when its people stood united regardless of their various differences.
The traditional leader, therefore, called on the teeming youth in the town to always demonstrate respect to the elderly for the greater good of the community.
He further advised people who have been indulging in criminal activities to desist from such acts for their own good and the community as a whole.
He alleged that there are some youth who have been threatening some community members with cutlass and gun over their long acquired properties.
Asafoatse Bantama IV called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Minster for Interior, and other security agencies to help the elders in the town to deal with criminals in the town.
He disclosed that the Gbugblah Lakple Kpledom festival is annually celebrated to promote peace and unity among the good people of the area.
Asafoatae Bantama IV called on all Ghanaians to join them during the celebration of the festival, which started two weeks ago and meant to officially end next week Tuesday.
