A 26 years old young man Prince Asamoah nearly encountered his untimely death on Thursday, 6th August 2026 when his girlfriend set their apartment on fire.
The girlfriend whose identity is still not known is said to have been in a relationship with Prince Asamoah since January,2024. According to sources, after some time in their relationship, the lady realised that her boyfriend was always on the phone with someone in Canada. Whenever she asked Prince, he explains that it’s his best friend who has travelled to Canada.
The lady suspected that Prince was cheating but she didn’t know how to confirm her suspicions.
When she insisted on knowing the person, Prince told her that the friend’s name was Isaac Ntow and even allowed her to listen to Isaac’s voice on the phone to confirm that it was a male friend.
But due to the frequency of their calls, the lady grew more suspicious and decided to investigate.
Upon investigation, she heard that Prince and Isaac Ntow were in same sex relationship and they were caught red handed and beaten up and they relocated. When they were caught again in 2023, Isaac relocated to Tamale and from there he travelled to Canada.
After the lady heard all these,she found a way to get access to Prince’s phone and the messages and photos she saw confirmed that Prince Asamoah and Isaac Ntow were in a same sex relationship. Out of frustration and heartbroken and the shame of knowing that the man she’s been in a relationship with for the past 3 years is a a homosexual, she poured kerosene in their bedroom and lighted a match and set the room on fire when Prince was still sleeping.
It took the intervention of the co-tenants to save Prince Asamoah.
The lady has since been detained at the……… police station pending police investigation.
