Constituents of the Asuogyaman Constituency have heaped praises on Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko for what they describe as effective representation and leadership despite his minority and opposition status.
The commendations came as the legislator commissioned a 3-unit teachers’ bungalow at the Adjena Senior High School in the Asuogyaman Constituency.
Speaking at the commission ceremony, Hon. Thomas Ampem said the project is to ensure the presence of teachers at the school at all time for effective supervision.
“The school had no staff or teacher residing on campus except the headmistress who lives in the only bungalow and there were concerns of students absconding to town and engaging in unacceptable conducts. This bungalow will ensure that at least three or more teachers live on campus and this will allow for effective supervision and also enhance teaching and learning activities,” the MP said.
The project constructed by Edmat & Sons Company Limited has bedrooms, kitchens, halls, dining areas, storerooms, washrooms and Polytank for frequent supply of water.
The MP also heaped praises on Edmat & Sons contractors of the project for the quality of work done.
He told the constituents that at the request of the headmistress of the school during the sod cutting, the company led by Mr. Edward Mawutor donated four brand new HP Laptops worth GHc 92,000 to the school to further equip their ICT Lab and enhance Computer and ICT Studies.
Constituents who were marvelled by the works of the two-term member of parliament clamoured for an extension of his mandate.
