Chief Executive Officer of Wezma Realtors (Real Estate), Wisdoms K. Amaglo has accused Wife of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Alhaji Yussif Issaka Jajah for land theft.

According to Wisdom Amaglo, the family of Hon Yussif Jajah is using their office to snatched a land they acquired 20 years ago from them.

Mr Wisdom Amaglo, CEO of Wezma Realtors (Real Estate) explained that, the said land in Otanor, ‘Ability Square’ in East Legon was acquired from the “Akwareboye Doku” family from Teshie about 21 years ago.

“The property, we bought at Otanor, which is Ability Square — we bought it 21 years ago from Akwareboye Doku Family from Teshie and we have all the documents including land title certificates named Mr David Kojo Anagbo and Mrs Melissa Anagbo, that’s the name on the land title certificate, he said.

“We acquired from Seth Laryea Mensah family. And Regularized with Okpong We Family, Subsequently Regularized with Akwareboye Doku Family”.

We have been in Occupation and Possession since 2005.”

“We secured the land, we fenced it and brought in a caretaker, we built a single room for caretaker to live there for us, he stayed there for so many years with his wife and family because we were not ready to start to start the project.

On the 13th of May 2022, the caretaker on the property called us that some people have there with a barcode machine to break the wall.

When he asked them, the people said they were sent to come and demolish fence wall but they couldn’t mention who sent them.

When he started making calls, they run away.

So, the next door neighbor that is Hon Yussif Jajah’s wife came out and watched the woman (caretakers wife) and she told them Yussif Jajah’s wife some people came to break the wall but she didn’t mind her.

Even before the incident, Yussif Jajah’s wife had asked the woman about the ownership of the land and questioned them “why don’t they have money to develop the place”? and she said only here as a caretaker.”

The woman said if the person doesn’t have money then he should sell it so the caretaker said they have no option.

She then called us and reported the case to the East Legon Police Station, they accompanied us to the sight which they took pictures, and used drone to take visuals of he whole area — we reported the case and the police asked them to bring their documents and guarantors to determine whether the land is theirs or not but they came with a different story saying the guarantor could not make it but before we realized they had started digging foundation on the land.

We went back to the East Legon police station to lodge another complaint”

Finally, the police became tired and were not paying attention to us so we had to take the matter to Land and Property Fraud headquarters and they came to warn them that if they know the land belongs to them they should bring their documents which will determine the right owners of the land but they refused and continued working.

We took the matter to the High Court and they put injunction on the land, stopped them that nobody should work on the land until the case is over.

Mr Wisdom Amaglo further explained that one Ben Kusi sold the land to Yussif Jajah’s family.

“Another guy called “Accra Boy” Aminu Ahmed claiming that he’s the owner of the land and Hon Yussif Jajah’s claiming that the land belongs to her brother, Aminu Ahmed also known as Accra Boy. He even mentioned that they’re not going to leave this land for us and if possible, they’ll relocate us”

“He again mentioned that even the IGP was appointed by someone so he doesn’t fear anyone so there’s no way they’re going to live land today nor tomorrow so we had no option than to go to court.”

We served Ben Kusi, we went to Accra Boy’s office at Otanor to serve him writ from the court — when he saw me, he made a call and the bailiff dropped from his bag.

Immediately after his call, we saw about 10 motorbikes coming, they attacked me, I was beaten mercilessly.

Aminu was instructing them to beat me and kill me because I’m very stubborn so I had no option than to report it to the regional headquarters to lodge a complaint to tell them what they’re doing is not fair but Yussif Jajah’s wife called police to arrest me again.

When I got to the police station, I showed them my documents and and was freed because they called them and none of them were picking.

I later went to the police station with a bailiff but was beaten again. Aminu commanded the land guard to come after me just yesterday.”

I have documents to everything. Look they’re working on the land as I’m speaking, they demolished the building, threatened the Caretaker if they don’t leave the place, they’d kill them.

Yussif Jajah’s family are using force to force to take our own property from us”

The Aminu guy said no police can stop him because they’re in his pocket. He’d know what to do…”

When asked about his health after the attack, Mr Wisdom Amaglo said “I went to the hospital and run a report on my case but nothing has been done. I went to the police hospital and I have given the report CID”

Mr Wisdom Amaglo later, appealed to the government and Police IGP to come to his aid.

He said, I’m calling on the IGP to come to our aid because we are all Ghanaians. We only want the right thing to be done, we want justice. We are not against any other person if they know the land belongs to them, let’s go to court.
