…To Woo Investors To The Entertainment Sector
Lawrence Nana Asimah Hanson popularly known as Bull Dog has met organizers of the Africa Trade and Investment Global Summit (ATIGS) to discuss ways of pulling foreign direct investment into the arts and Entertainment industry in Ghana.
In a video interview with Ghana Chamber of Content Producers, Bulldog revealed that the arts and Entertainment industry in Ghana is as equally important as the energy sector, the agriculture sector, and any other sector that government and other private investors are focusing their attention on.
He revealed that having been in the industry for more than two decades, he meets people on hourly basis who are so rich with ideas and talent that he often gets overwhelmed.
“I dare say that the arts and entertainment industry is even more important and worthy of investment than any other industry. Every nation needs calm and happy people for its growth, and that is exactly what the arts and entertainment industry does, it creates a happy and excitement mood for the people” he stated. The vociferous entertainer added that if investors begin to invest in the people with the creative talent, there will be a lot of benefits that will be accrued to the nation including reduction in crime.
He used the opportunity to urge foreign investors to look at investing in the Ghanaian entertainment industry stressing that the industry is very lucrative and ready for investment. He assured investors of huge returns on their investment if they begin to look at investment in the sector.
“The entertainment industry is one industry that can confidently assure you of a large and committed following, several developed countries have relied on arts to get to where they are and I believe ATIGS is the lifeline that the industry needs to interact with investors and drive the Ghanaian economy through arts” he noted.
He urged his colleagues to take the extra steps of moving out of their comfort zones to go out there and look for opportunities to help grow their craft and their brand. He called on entertainers to take the upcoming ATIGS advantage seminar as a world cup to register their presence as way of letting investors know how ready they are.
On their part, the ATIGS Ghana ambassador, promised to use due diligence in scrutinizing bankable proposals that ATIGS can take to their huge database of foreign investors looking at entering the African market. He pledged to give equal attention to the arts and entertainment industry when it comes to project quota allocation.
The country representative of ATIGS who received Bulldog and his team applauded Bulldog for his move of looking out for the interest of his industry and assured him of their support stressing that the meeting is definitely the beginning of great things ATIGS will be doing with the arts and entertainment industry.
