The Chief of Dawhenya, Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV, known in private life as Mark Tetteh Arden, has supported statements by the Rightful Kingmakers of Dawhenya to set the records straight on a recent Publication in the New Crusading Guide with the headline “New chief installed in Dawhenya”, describing the said publication as false.
He therefore called on the people of Dawhenya to disregard the so-called Nene Kwabla Arden” as an imposter and an opportunist.
The so called “Nene Kwabla Arden” who is known in private life as Albert Tetteh Arden is the last-born son of Numo Charles Martey Kwashie who is not only the brain behind this unlawful installation but also a self-acclaimed stool father of Dawhenya and a self-styled acting head of the royal Arden Family of Dawhenya, popularly known as Arden Darpoh Family.
According to Solomon Martey, he was enstooled Chief of Dawhenya on 24th 2020 in accordance with the customs and traditions of Dawhenya. Following his installation, Charles Martey Kwashie filed a suit before the Prampram Traditional Council challenging the legitimacy of Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV’s installation being contrary to custom and tradition.
The suit, entitled “Charles Martey Kwashie and Another Vrs Mark Tetteh Arden and 8 Others, SUIT NO PTC/P.1/20, is currently at trial stage with the Petitioner – Charles Martey Kwashie about to have his last witness in the witness box to testify. It is during the pendency of this suit that the same Numo Charles Martey Kwashie and his cohorts namely Felix Abban Darpoh, Felix Kodie Arden and Solomon Martey have connived to install the so called Kwablah Arden, bringing the judicial authority of the Prampram Traditional Council into disrepute.
Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV clarified that the said Charles Martey Kwashie brought an application for injunction seeking to restrain him from functioning as chief of Dawhenya pending the determination of the suit but the said application was refused. He adds that inspite of the fact that there is no injunction on him, he has been very guided in the way he carries himself as chief in order to show respect to the court process and to wait for justice to prevail. Yet Numo Charles Martey Kwashie has been adamant that unless he installs a chief, there can be no chief in Dawhenya.
In another suit before the High Court, Tema, entities Nene Kwaku Darpoh (Substituted by Charles Martey Kwashie), $ Anor V Isaac Botwe Arden and 5 Orhers, SUIT NO. E7/09/2020, Charles Martey Kwashie is challenging the installation of Numo Martey Arden (known in private life as Faraday Martey Arden) as the Lawful Head of the royal Arden Darpoh Family.
In that case Charles Martey Kwashie claims to be the Acting Head of family, following the death of Nene Kwaku Darpoh. His claim to the family headship is crucial as the installation of the chief of Dawhenya customarily is done under the leadership of the Head of Family.
Again, while this suit is pending before the High Court, Tema, this same Charles Martey Kwashie has used his purported claim to the family headship to install his own last-born child as Chief of Dawnehya in another unqualified show of disregard for the process of court of which he is the Plaintiff.
Investigations revealed that Charles Martey Kwashie and his team gave the Regional Commander of police, Tema false information amidst assurances that there was no already installed chief at Dawhenya, that there was no chieftaincy dispute at Dawhenya and that the Paramount Chief of Prampram was aware of their planed installation of the so- called Kwablah Arden. These lies enabled them to execute their unlawful installation thereby staging the biggest act of lawlessness and deception ever perpetrated in the history of Dawhenya Chieftaincy.
What the Kingmakers of Dawhenya and Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV could not fathom is why Numo Charles Martey Kwashie is against the installation of Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV as Chief of Dawhenya and Numo Martey Arden as lawful representative and head of the Arden Darpoh Family. To be so adamant as to disregard two law suits commenced by no other Person but himself and to proceed to install his own son as Chief during the pendency of the two suits reveals Numo Charles Martey Kwashie’s preparedness to plunge Dawhenya into a state of Mayhem.
The youth of Dawhenya are up in arms but for the resolve of the kingmakers and Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV to let justice prevail through the use of the courts.
Speaking with this Paper, on behalf of the Kingmakers, Numo Mensah Nyavor States that “Nene Kwabla is illegally parading himself as chief of Dawhenya just to defraud people of Dawhenya to enrich himself.
Numo Mensah Nyavor noted, Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV, still remains the Chief of Dawhenya subject to the final determination of the suit before the Prampram Traditional Council. He called on the youth to stay calm and cautioned Felix Abban Darpoh , Felix Kodie Arden and Solomon Martey Arden, the ones behind Numo Martey Kwashie, to cease and desist from stirring tribulation in Dawhenya.
He therefore advised the general public to disregard Nene Kwabla Arden as chief of the area, saying that anyone who does business with him does so at his or her own risk.
“We want to set the record straight that recent media publications that Dawhenya has installed a new Chief in the person of “Nene Kwabla Arden” is false and should be disregarded by the entire Dawhenya Community and the World at large” he stated.
Meanwhile a contempt application has been filed by Nene Tetteh Kodie IV and the kingmakers of Dawhenya against Numo Charles Martey Kwashie, Felix Abban Darpoh, Felix Kodie Arden, Solomon Martey Arden and Woryo Magbie Tsako.
