I CALL ON THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE TO DEAL WITH THE LAWLESS CONDUCT OF NDC HOOLIGANS IN EJURA-SEKYEREDUMASE
I am calling on the Police to enforce law and order to deal with rampaging NDC in the Ejura-Sekyeredumase constituency.
For the past two days, NDC supporters have resorted to aggravated hooliganism in the Ejura-Sekyeredumase constituency.
These hooligans have destroyed my billboards and that of the NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, while my supporters have been attacked without any provocation.
Today, 10th December 2024, in the evening, some NDC supporters have besieged my private residence and hurled stones at my apartment. All these acts are despite my gracious concession as a consummate democrat.
The lawless acts of provocation by the NDC could easily serve as a basis for uncontrollable violence in the Ejura-Sekyeredumase constituency. I am urging the NDC to rein in their rampaging supporters, and calling on the IGP to move immediately to quell the simmering tensions arising from lawless conduct of the NDC.
I want to intimate that we have a right to self defense and will not shy away from firmly asserting that right, should the police fail to act. I urge our supporters to remain calm, but alert and vigilant.
