It started with the accusation that he is an National Democratic Congress (NDC) mole. When that backfired his accusers shifted the goal post that he had moved in to occupy an office of his predecessor. That has also been found to be a load of bull.
The New Crusading GUIDE has uncovered a sinister plot by some people within the Ghana Railway Company Limited in Takoradi, in the Western Region, to throw mud at the Acting Managing Director, Ing. Doctor MichealAnyentei, to ensure that he is not confirmed.
Chiefly amongst the accusation they make without evidence is the one that Ing. Doctor MichealAnyentei, is occupying a plush office while his workers operate from a dilapidated storey building which could collapse at any moment.
To this, people closer to Ing. Dr. Anyentei told this paper over the phone yesterday that “even the office he occupies is not fully furnished. It was a make do office for his predecessor because part of our building has been cordoned off with a tape and so he had to occupy that office for the time being until the whole renovation works are done.”
“It a ploy, they know they can’t have any dirt on the MD so they go all lengths to get something but it won’t fly. The truth of the matter is that there is a lady and one gentleman in the company, in fact even the lady is due for retirement. The two of them, just the two are the people fighting tooth and nail to smear Dr. Anyentei with dirt but it won’t wash,” people familiar with what is going on told this paper.
Also on allegations that Dr. Anyentei the Nswam Rail lines collapsed due to poor supervision by the Engineer, Ing. Dr. Michael AdjeiAnyetei, then the Deputy Managing Director in charge of engineering, is reported to have responded thatpoor drainage networks was to blameand called on the Ministry of Works and Housing to consider fixing the drainage system along the line.
He reiterated that the rehabilitation earlier started from the Accra rail station before the Covid-19 outbreak which forced them to go on a break.
As they resumed, the rains set in, which caused destruction to the track, hence the repair works on the section of the track, he added.“What caused the destruction is not a failed track but rather a failed storm wall,” he said.
He complained about the impact of the storm drain on the ‘health’ of the track.
Ing. Dr. expressed the belief that the channel should have been continued so that the water could flow properly into the sea. Thus, the Ghana Railways Company Limited is now laying rock beds along the track to prevent water from flowing on the track.
Stay tune for more.
