News that the country could be seeing a new face with a new profession have been given credence by a group, Ashanti Youth For Good Governance, who have endorsed energy expert, Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, for the presidency come 2024 presidential election.
“It is with immense pleasure that Ashanti Youth For Good Governance would like to endorse Mr. KWADWO NSAFOAH POKU, a renowned Energy Expert for the position of President of the Republic of Ghana on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024, president of the group, Kwame Kusi Boateng stated in a press release on 27 January, 2020.
The statement added that “We are endorsing Mr. Kwadwo Poku because he is keenly concerned about the total neglect of this home region and the lack of hope for the Youth in the Ashanti region. As an energy expert and experienced Entrepreneur, he understands the issues of the Youth better and is committed to empowering the youth through skill training when he gets the opportunity to lead this great country.”
Mr. Kwadwo N. Poku, the group touted, is honest, has zero tolerance for corruption, works smart, and is innovative; which makes him the right man to lead this country and its people to prosperity.
“With the above sterling qualities and experience garnered over the years by Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, we the members of Ashanti Youth for Good Governance believe he has what it takes to steer this country to the promise land. A country every Ghanaian Youth would be proud of,” Kwame Kusi Boateng added.
He is currently the CEO and Founder of FKP & RALD INVESTMENT LTD. He also serves as Board Director of Multinational companies such as Pan African Capital Ghana Limited, FIFC Management and Development Limited.
Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku was the Country Director for GASOP OIL (GHANA) LIMITED from June 2002 to September 2012. As a shareholder and Ghanaian partner, he successfully negotiated with Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) for the award of Block 9, South Saltpond Basin in 2005. He later became the Managing Director of the Ghana office and Executive Director of the Parent Company in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
He worked as Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism, the late Hon. Hawa Yakubu from January 2001 to May 2002. He was tasked to develop a Tourism Management Information System (TMIS), one of the flagship programs for the Minister. He designed the Ministry of Tourism first Website in 2001, which had a database of all tourist sites in Ghana. He was also the liaison between the Ministry and donor agencies that supported the Ministry to develop their TMIS.
Mr. Kwadwo Poku has worked on various projects for years at different levels in the energy sector. He brings excellent credentials to the aforementioned position with a strong 24 years of practical business experience.
