The Omanhene of Gomoa Akyempim, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, has made an appeal to President Akufo-Addo to assist the Budumburan community to deal with their worsening security situation.
According to him, the rate of crime and cases of murder in the Gomoa East Constituency suggests to him that the Police alone cannot deal with the situation.
He, therefore, asked that some form of military presence (Military base) be established in the Constituency to support the efforts of the Police to arrest the security challenges in their community.
The Omanhene of Gomoa Akyempim, made the request when he addressed President Akufo-Addo at a durbar of Chiefs and people of Budumburan, held in honour of President Akufo-Addo, as part of day one of his three day campaign tour of the Central Region.
