The long arm of the law has finally caught up with Gamel Issaka popularly known as Fagati the self-acclaimed Managing Director of Fagati Limited Real Estates Developers Suppliers and General Merchants. He has been arrested after years of operating what many describe as one of the most ruthless land fraud syndicates in Kpone Katamanso and its environs including the East Legon Hills catchment.
Fagati who has been on the police radar for a considerable period of time is accused of selling the same plots of land to multiple buyers and disappearing with huge sums of money. Victims numbering in the dozens have stepped forward with documents and testimonies that expose the shocking scale of his fraudulent operations. Families have been left homeless investors have lost life savings and communities are reeling from the chaos he created. He is currently in the grips of the anti-land guard unit of the Ghana Police Service

Police investigators, according to our sources say Fagati built his scheme around trust presenting himself as a respectable businessman and hiding behind his company’s name to lure unsuspecting buyers. Behind the façade however was a well calculated scam that left a trail of destruction across Kpone Katamanso. Officers described his arrest as a major breakthrough in the fight against rampant land fraud in the region.
His numerous victims have welcomed the news with relief and anger demanding that the full weight of the law be brought down on him. Many insist that he should face the full rigours of the law to serve as deterent to others who may attempt to exploit innocent land buyers.
