He praised the president for listening to their plea which led to the setting up of the National film authority. “That alone is an indication that he has better things to do to Filmmakers.
“If we should call for an auditioning you will see the millions of people who would gather here to seek jobs and that shows that filmmakers are many”, he said
Ghana Filmmakers for Nana 2020 group has decided to support Nana Addo and the NPP to victory, because we have realized he has a soft spot for us. Previously we had it difficult to get assistance from the NDC government when they were in Power”, he said
. “We are NPP party loyal and faithful members in the film industry and we have decided to support Nana Addo and the NPP because of the love we have for the party.
“We will travel to all the sixteen regions and campaign for Nana Addo and the NPP”, he indicated.
According to Mr. Boateng, the group members are matured Ghanaians who know what is good for them and that the decision they’ve made is the best for them. We have confidence in Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and believe in him, he has done so much by giving a filmmaking school in Kumasi”.
Although there are some structures in the film Act that has made the work a bit slow for the authority, we believe that Nana Akuffo Addo will fix them. This will also help us to get the kind of studio, cinema and filmmaking schools that we need in the country to promote filmmaking in order to compete favorably on the international scene. “I am therefore calling on every Filmmaker in the country to join us to support Nana Akuffo Addo and the NPP to retain power in December 2020.
The Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Elizabeth Sackey who was the special guest at the the inauguration and press launch of the group commended the Ghana Filmmakers Association for declaring their support for President Akufo Addo

Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and the NPP have better things for the film industry because the film industry has a lot of opportunities to offer the youth especially job and it is a good decision they have taken.
