The leadership of the GaDangbe Youth Association led by its President, Nii Ayaafio, yesterday recognised the efforts by the stool father (Seitse) in the Osu Traditional Area, Nii Narku Teinor.
The association presented a citation in honour of the role the Seitse played in ensuring that peace prevailed within the traditional area.
They noted that the Seitse’s tenure of office has ensured that there was sanity regarding chieftaincy matters within the area.
They have also noted that the Seitse has over the years exhibited a democratic leadership which has led to the total development of the traditional area.
In his delivery, the President of the association, Nii Ayaafio said “We have noticed the significant role you have been playing when it comes to chieftaincy issues in the area, hence the need to honour you.”
According to the group, unlike other areas where the Osu Seitse has over the years done what a leader is supposed to do in fostering peace in a particular area.
“The Osu Seitse played a neutral role at the hard time of chiefteincy issues in ensuring that nothing but peace prevail in the traditional area” he disclosed.
In his appreciation message, the Osu Seitse, Nii Narku Teinor, thanked the leadership of the association for the honour done him.
“I did not know people were watching far away what I was doing as a leader of this traditional area, and I must confess that am a happy man today” he stated.
The traditional lead was optimistic the honour done him would go a long way to push him to deliver above his knowledge and strength for the good people of the area.
