The Senior Staff Association of Ghana National Gas Limited Company (GNGLC) has expressed profound appreciation for the exceptional leadership of Dr. Ben K.D. Asante, following his tenure as CEO.
In a heartfelt tribute, the association lauded Dr. Asante’s transformative impact on Ghana Gas, describing him as a visionary leader whose expertise significantly enhanced the country’s energy sector.
They acknowledged his instrumental role in positioning Ghana Gas as a key player in Ghana’s energy supply chain, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
Among his remarkable achievements, the staff highlighted the successful tie-ins at Sanzule, which boosted gas production, as well as the completion of the reserve flow project. His leadership also extended beyond operations, as his commitment to corporate social responsibility greatly benefited communities in the Western Region.
With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Dr. Asante was credited for developing Ghana’s gas infrastructure master plan in 2008 and serving as a consultant to the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). His vast knowledge and technical expertise, according to the staff, have been invaluable in shaping Ghana’s energy landscape.
As Dr. Asante exits his role, the Senior Staff Association has made a passionate appeal to President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Energy Minister to ensure that his successor possesses the same high level of technical competence.
They emphasized the need for a technically skilled leader to continue the momentum Dr. Asante built, ensuring that Ghana Gas remains a formidable force in the country’s energy sector.
