Omanhene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea (II) in collaboration with Nananom in Gomoa Land have launch Obrifo Development Foundation in the aim of creating jobs for the youth, promoting Girl child education and boosting Agriculture.
Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea revealed that, majority of the youth are unemployment while teenage pregnancy has also spoiled the education of the young girls.
Gomoa Akyempim Omanhene says, the foundation has four pillars, one promoting Girl child Education, Boosting Tourism, Modern Agriculture and creating jobs for the youth to reduce unemployment.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Omanhene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council charged Nananom to invest their Monies in their children education and the developmental projects than paying huge sums of Monies to Lawyer to in the name of litigation.
Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea says, majority of Nananom are spending all their life time savings on Unnecessary Chieftaincy disputes and Land litigations which is not helping the development of Gomoa.
Omanhene says, he has declared war on unemployment, Teenage Pregnancy and all other social voices, he therefore appealed to Ghanaians, Civil Society Groups, Companies to come and support Obrifo Development Foundation to create jobs for the youth through Agriculture, Tourism and education.
He said, it’s time for Nananom to desist deviant behaviour such as Drugs and focus on developmental issues.
Nana Ahunako Ankobea also pledge to use the funds to support school girls with Sanitary pads, fight against early relationship, teenage Pregnancy, renewal of NHIS card for needy people, paying school fees for brilliant but needy children and also focus on health.
Meanwhile Chairman of the occasion who doubles as the chief of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abor Atta also entreat Nananom to come together and fight for development.
Nana Abor Atta says, it is time to end chieftaincy disputes and Land Litigation.
Furthermore, Omankrado of Gomoa Asempanyi, Nana Kumansa Krampah also said the funds will cut across all the sectors that will alleviate the people of Gomoa from poverty.
