The Court of Appeal Accra has ordered Central Regional Lands Commission to delete 21 Century Name from some portions of Gomoa Fetteh Lands to end 13 years old litigations.
A Coram was formed and presided over by Justice Poku-Acheampng, Justice Baffour and Justice Archer.
In 2005 Cape Coast High Court issued an order of Mandamus compelling Lands Commission to register the lands Documents of 21st Century and its sister companies as well as document given to their customers but the Commission failed to do so after Nananom of Gomoa Fetteh has also ordered the commission not to do so.
Addressing a Press conference, Twafohene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council who doubles as Chief of Gomoa Fetteh Nana Abor Atta II revealed that, in early 90’s, Manager of 21st Century Mr Kofi Asma acquired 3,000 acres of Land from Nananom of Gomoa Fetteh for estate purposes but Land Commission made a mistake and register over 12,000 acres of land for 21’s Century company without the knowledge of Nananom.
Nananom of Gomoa Fetteh took the matter to court and they have been fighting on it for the past 13 years.
Nana Abor Atta appealed to Lands Commission to do their investigations well before registering Lands for individuals and Estate Companies to reduce land litigations.
Meanwhile Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh Nana Kwesi Quansah also appealed to IGP to called their men to other and change their style of arresting people.
Nana Kwesi Quansah says some police officers still used to Rambo style of arrest during their operations.
After the Press conference, the owner of 21st Century Kofi Asma was contacted on phone but he failed to comment on the new development.
