Firebrand Hajia Sawudatu Saeed, Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), who is vying for the National Women Organizer position in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to establish a women’s wing welfare fund to support women organisers.
Amongst others, the women wing welfare fund would, according to Sawudatu Saeed, sort women organisers out with monthly allowances, help Women Organisers in need, cater for children of deceased Women Organizers, provide scholarship for children of Women Organisers, and institute awards scheme for hard-working, committed and result-oriented Women Organisers.
“I would always put ineffective measures for resources mobilization and fair distribution”, saying “I humbly seek your mandate to work hard together with you for the betterment of the women’s wing and break the historic 8,” she added.
Hajia Saeed promised to strive to be honest, reliable, trustworthy and a companion to everyone.
She stressed that she would also be a unifier and avoid deliberate decisions and actions which may either directly or indirectly cause harm to others life, image, emotions or relationship.
Hajia Saeed made the promises moment after she was welcomed by Mrs. Sarah Kobbina, a member of the election committee at the party headquarters, last Tuesday, to file her nomination to contest the women organiser post.
