The long standing chieftaincy issue between members of the Dodowa-Takporm Family has been settled.
In a ruling, the Hiome Divisional of Chiefs stated that the current occupant was traditionally illegal and ordered that he vacates the position for a legitimate person to be appointed.
The case was summoned at the Dodowa Court but the Paramount of Chief of the Shai State, Nene Odeopeoo, later ordered that it was a chieftaincy issue within his jurisdiction and should be handed over to him for settlement.
Nene Odeopeoo later handed the matter to the Hiome Divisional Chiefs to see to it that the issue was settled amicably.
The many years chieftaincy dispute in the family, according to information has stalled the development of the family.
It is therefore expected that the yet to be outdoored chief would lead development for the members of the family.
The ruling by the Hiome Divisional of Chiefs under the chairmanship of Nene Teye Kwesi Agyemang Okukrubuo, declared Tetteh-Ohoho Wem as the legitimate house to select a person to be enstooled as Chief for the area.
The chairman of the traditional court warned members of Tetteh-Ohoho Wem to as a matter of urgency ensure that the rightful personality was introduced to the entire members of the Dodowa-Takporm Family for the position.
Expressing his joy over the verdict at Dodowa yesterday, Head of Tetteh-Ohoho Wem, Numo Teye Ohoho (Osikamo), thanked God that the long standing matter has finally been settled peacefully.
Numo Tei Ohoho therefore pleaded with members of the entire Hiome-Takporm Family accept the ruling in good faith for the betterment of the family.
Numo Tei Ohoho further assured that Kingmakers of Tei Doku Wem, Narteh Wem, Nagai Wem, Kenney Wem, Kpakpa Wem, would soon come together to ensure the right person is appointed by the Tetteh Ohoho Family to take over the Stool.
