Edward Asante Antwi, MCE, New Juaben North
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of New Juaben North, in the eastern region,
Edward Asante Antwi, has debunked lies being bandied about that he is parading
himself with the title of a Professor (Prof.) when has not attained that feat.
Edward Asante Antwi told this paper in an interview that “I have never called myself a
Professor anywhere. In fact, I don’t even respond to titles even though I know the
respect and prestige that come with it.”
Asked whether he suspected anyone of this malicious speculation, the MCE said he could not
rule out the fact that someone or people could be behind it because we live in a political
world but could not be specific about who would orchestrate such conscience-soothing
falsities.
New Crusading GUIDE’s finding have revealed that Edward Asante Antwi is suffering the
allegations of misrepresentation following a released from the presidency to announce his
name as the MCE of New Juaben North, which inadvertently referred to as “Professor
Edward Asante Antwi.”
Subsequently, during the inauguration at the Municipal Assembly, the Master of Ceremony
(MC) repeatedly referred to the MCE as a professor without anyone drawing his attention to
the obvious error.
To cure the mischief, however, the affable MCE, who operates an open-door policy made his
Curriculum Vitae (CV) available to the New Crusading GUIDE scouts who visited him to
ascertain the veracity or otherwise of the speculation that he was parading himself with a title
he did not hold.
