The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. George Mireku Duker has issued a statement to strongly condemn and dissociates himself from a certain video in circulation purporting to suggest that he was behind the rampaging ‘macho men’ wielding guns in the said video.
He narrated saying that he had attended a funeral with his constituency executives at Shama in the western region on the 30th of January 2022 accompanied by his personal police guard. But it just so happened that as part of the funeral ceremony in honour of a deceased Chief they make a show or display of arms and ammunitions.
The Deputy Minister lamented that it’s so unfortunate and surprising to see certain persons piece together a video to make false representations and to position his person in the company of these gun-wielding men at a property they falsely claim it’s his three months later.
“I therefore call on the general public to treat all those fake information or video with the utmost contempt it deserves”, he urged.
Hon. Duker further entreated the security services to investigate these allegations and duly report the findings accordingly whilst assuring the general public of his commitment to law and order and to continually serve the country diligently.
