The Chairman of Top Kings Enterprise (TKE), Mr. Kingsley Owusu-Achau has issued a press statement to debunk claims made by Ian Morris, the Manager of Empire Builders and his workers through a press conference allegedly claiming to have taken over the land of Top Kings with the assistance of military.
According to Mr. Owusu-Achau in his statement giving a little background or history to the said land state that “Top Kings was dragged into a protracted litigation by Empire Builders spanning a period of 22years from the High Court through to the Supreme Court with Empire Builders losing at each stage of the litigation. Not satisfied with the outcome of the Supreme Court’s decision, Empire Builders commenced a fresh action at a High Court at Adenta against Top Kings Enterprise in 2021 alleging that Top Kings is taking land not covered by the Supreme Court judgment in 2020 that went in favor of Top Kings. The Adenta High Court Suit too was dismissed and they later proceeded to the Appeals Court where they suffered the same fate.”
He said, throughout this lengthy dispute, Empire Builders Ltd has engaged all the topmost law firms in Ghana with three of the most prestigious law firms representing them at the High Court at the same time.
“Empire Builders has the financial clout to employ all the top lawyers in the country to seek legal redress in court why are they rather resorting to appealing to the President to intervene?”, he quizzed.
“The obvious reason is that there is no merit in it’s claim and no court will entertain them any longer. Land disputes are resolved at the Courts and not by press conferences or the intervention of the President”, he emphasized.
