A volunteer group under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Patriotic Agenda Pushers on Monday, caught a Nigerian attempting to register for the ongoing voters registration exercise at Pentecost university center.
The arrest was made when their monitoring team visited the Pentecost University pooling station Centre to observe and monitor the registration exercise at the Anyaa sowutuom constituency.
The man who attempted to register as Mohammad Shehu is the current President for the International Students Association of Pentecost University ISA.
Mohammad Shehu has served for two terms as ISA President.
The delegation was led by the founder of Patriotic Agenda pushers Mr. John Obiri Yeboah with his members Mr. Nana Yaw Osene Akwah, Director of communications and Mr. Joshua Duah Sarpong a member of the operations team.
The founder took the opportunity to advise all foreigners who are in the country to desist from the ongoing voter’s registration exercise meant for Ghanaians solely.
The incident generated heated argument between the Mohammed Shehu, patriotic Agenda Pusher monitoring team members and other supervisory stakeholders present but the police officer on duty at the centre calmed nerves and the culprit finally sacked from the center.
