The Director of Communications at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme-(NEIP), Joseph Osei Oppong Brenya,37, who was arrested sometime in 2013, for impersonating Anas and extorting monies from unsuspecting individuals and companies, has described the most sought-after English speaking radio station in the country as dishonest.
Joseph Osei, who metamorphosed into Osei Oppong-Brenya and is a presidential staffer said Joy FM refused to use his story when he was stringing for the station in the Upper West Region, thereby making the station a dishonest one.
“I was sacked from Joy FM because they were dishonest, they refused to publish my story and got hurt…” Oppong-Brenya stated in an online banter with one Alhaji Suleman last Saturday.
The New Crusading GUIDE would recall that then 27-year-old man, Joseph Osei, was arrested for defrauding several people under the guise of working with Ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Now Oppong-Brenya was said to have extorted monies from companies after blackmailing them that he, together with the assistance of Anas, are conducting some investigations on the activities of the companies.
He was arrested by the Adabraka Police after a tip off from one of his victims.
The Crime Officer for the Adabraka Police Command DSP Ebenezer Nketiah confirmed the story to Joy News.
According to him, Osei extorted 20,000 cedis from his first victim and 10,200 cedis from his second victim.
How such the case went from there that he was later employed to be working at the Presidency, which normally does thorough background checks remain a puzzle to be solved.
Stay tuned.
