The Kojo We Family at Appollonia within the Kpone Traditional Area in the Greater Accra Region, has Installed Mr.Simon Gblitse Dortey, as the new Clan head of the family.
The newly installed Clan head is to be called by the stool name, Numo Simon Gblitse.
He was selected by the family to succeed late Numo Elisha Narteh who died on 1st March, 2020.
Since the late Head of Kojo We died, the position has been vacant until serious consultations were made where the family decided to select Numo Simon Gblitse as the legitimate Head of Family.
In his address at the traditional ceremony, Mr. Harrison Abladey Tawiah, who chaired the function, expressed his happiness over the appointment of Numo Gblitse as the Head of the Family.
He was optimistic the appointment of the new family head would go a long way to foster unity and development of the family.
The Chairman of the ceremony prayed to the ancestors to protect the new family head from all evil forces and also give him wisdom, long life and prosperity.
He emphasized the need for all to take education seriously; saying education is the surest way to be abreast with modern day development.
Mr. Tawiah also called on members to bring the family legacy and social education to the doorsteps of the youth.
For his part, the newly installed Head of the Kojo We Family Numo Simon Gblitse, urged members of the family to always understand themselves anytime issues arise.
He called all particularly the youth, to be united and focus on issues that will bring progress to the entire Apollonia Community.
