The Kyidomhene of Akyem Tafo in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, Nana Amponsah Adepa Yeaboah (I), as part of her 5th year royal enstoolment anniversary, has touched lives of over 300 aged, vulnerable and, widows in her traditional area.
The theme for the anniversary was “Touching Lives for a Better Community.”
“I am thankful to Tafo township, I am always happy whenever I donate to the vulnerable, and the aged. I have been doing this even before I ascended the throne, the Bible says there are blessings in giving so I feel blessed anytime I give. At times the aged are always in the room so it becomes very difficult to know their problems, therefore, I entreat individuals , NGOs to occasionally visit various homes in our communities and support the aged and the vulnerable because when you do that God will surely bless you,” the queen admonished.
Accounting to her people and the media her achievements within five years as the Kyedomhene, she intimated that there has been tremendous improvement and development in her traditional area, and that regarding education, she single-handedly had constructed an ultra-modern KG school block.
She also said she had empowered some women by allocating to them interest free loan facility for trading and also provided assistance for some youth who needed job, and in the health sector as well.
Nana Amponsah Adepa Yeboah (I), promised to do more moving forward in her journey as their royal servant in the traditional area and called on other well-to-do individuals in the society to also emulate what she is doing to put smiles on the faces of the needy and less privileged in their communities.
