The paramount chief of Osudoku traditional area in the Greater Accra Region, Nene Animle, has admonished the newly installed chief for Djetsokope, Nene Nartey Djetso I, to work as a servant and not a dictator to his people.
He advised the chief to serve as a democratic leader to create room for the community members to rally behind him for his success.
The chief gave the advice during an official presentation of Nene Nartey Djetso I to him at his palace in Osuwem yesterday.
It was all joy as the entire community went gay to demonstrate the love the people have for the new chief.
Nene Nartey Djetso I went through the necessary traditional rites to show his competency to serve his people to the admiration of members of the community.
Nene Animle, who doubles as the president of the Osudoku traditional area, noted that the best way a chief could succeed as a leader was only when he remained humble before his people.
“You cannot achieve your developmental agenda for the good people in the area if you fail to exhibit a democratic leader’s credentials as a chief,” he advised.
According to Nene Animle, the growth of the Djetsekope mainly depends on the new chief and advised him to open his doors for every member of the community for advice.
The Osudoku chief pleaded with the community to bury their various differences and rally behind the new chief for the achievement of their developmental agenda.
For his part, the Public Relation Officer (PRO) for the Osudoku Chief, Nene Amanor Akrobeto I, pleaded with the new chief to see himself as a problem solver to help the community march up with other towns with regards to developmental projects.
“Prioritize the real need of your people to help you live a legacy after your tenure as a chief of Djetsokope,” he disclosed.
