BCM Ghana Limited has dismissed as false recent online publications by businesswoman, Angela List, denying involvement in an alleged land guard attack on the company’s Spintex workshop.
Contrary to her claims that the incident was a lawful police operation based on a court order, the company says the attack was carried out by armed land guards led by a known figure nicknamed “Cyborg.”
According to BCM, the incident occurred on 30 July, 2025, between 9am and 10am, when the group attempted to take over the workshop where the company repairs equipment and fuels its vehicles.
Workers, the company said, prevented entry by locking the gates, and photographs later identified Cyborg, who is already on police enquiry bail over previous trespass incidents allegedly linked to Ms. List.
BCM said in a statement that this was not the first time Ms. List had used land guards to target its properties, citing earlier incidents at Borteyman, the Spintex Road, and the company’s headquarters — all of which are subjects of ongoing court and police investigations.
The company also clarified that the Court of Appeal, in May 2025, stayed an earlier High Court ruling recognising Ms. List as a director and shareholder, restoring the status quo pending appeal.
It said it has fully complied with court orders to file an inventory of assets, none of which are located at the Spintex workshop.
BCM maintained that if Ms. List believed the company had breached court orders, the lawful remedy would have been to pursue contempt proceedings rather than dispatch land guards.
It urged the public to disregard what it described as her “attempts to cover up illegal acts” and said it would make no further comment out of respect for ongoing court and security service processes.
