The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Guan constituency has promised to win the parliamentary seat in the December 7 General elections as it heightens its campaign activities in the constituency.
The campaign strategy of the party’s parliamentary candidate, Michael Osibo, is said to be gaining momentum in the run up to the December 7 general elections.
Hayford Amnaku a constituent in an interaction said, “We have lived in the constituency with Mr. Osibo for years and truly know what he is capable of doing. He has the constituents at heart and has been doing so much for us. We are therefore ready to elect him to serve as our Member of Parliament (MP). ”
Mrs. Mary Omaawu, also a constituent, in an interview commended the executives of the NPP and the delegates in the constituency for electing Michael Osibo as the party’s parliamentary candidate. According to her, Osibo represents the face of the constituency, as she described him (Osibo) as the best person likely to represent them in Parliament from 2025.
She assured that the constituents had already made their mind and would vote massively for Michael Osibo.
Mr. Michael Osibo recently financed the training of over 500 individuals with employable skills in, soap production, bead crafting among others to combat unemployment.
Popularly known as Chairman, Michael Osibo partnered Aseda Foundation to provide an intensive five-day practical training session for young women. The training took place at various Centres in the constituency.
Participants at the ceremony showcased their newly acquired skills in pastries, soaps making, detergents, air fresheners, weedicides, and beads and were awarded certificates.
At the event, Mr. Osibo was hopeful that the training and support would help improve their lives. He said Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) was achievable with the right mindset and commitment, thanks to the government’s substantial investments in this sector. The NPP Guan PC pledged to continue these training programs to significantly reduce youth unemployment in the Guan constituency.
The graduates expressed their gratitude for the opportunities provided, noting that these new skills would help them become self-employed.
Michael Osibo, a veteran plant engineer, has been instrumental in youth empowerment through various community-based initiatives. He appealed to the people of the Guan constituency to elect him as their representative in the upcoming December 7 general elections, promising to further their development if given the mandate.
