The National Youth Authority (NYA) has been making some major inroads in ensuring the growth and development of the youth of the country.
Its performance over the past two years since the Akufo-Addo administration took over, has been lauded by many sector and industry players who see the major interventions as laudable.
The National Youth Authority, then National Youth Employment program under the NDC administration had collapsed with very little hope as to whether it could ever come alive.
However, the NYA under the abled-leadership of Emmanuel Asigri and his team of young and dynamic youth, have received the Author and ensured its sustenance.
Since assuming the leadership role of the Authority in just two years, the Authority embarked on several projects.
The Authority had trained 3000 youth in Online Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship Program, trained youth in Street Light Repairs and Maintenance, constructed of Dormitories in selected youth leadership and skill training institutes, and constructed ten youth resource centres of excellence accross the country.
The Authority also established 120 acres of maize farm, launched end tramadol abuse campaign, held stakeholders engagement towards reviewing the National Youth Policy, hosted Africa Union Youth Volunteers Corp and launched steps towards employment and productivity.
The NYA also inaugurated the West African Chapter of Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs.
Many of the Ghanaian youth have been beneficiaries of the many program the Authority roles out which are been to their great benefits.
