The Abusuapanyin of Sakyikrom near Nsawam in the Eastern Region, Abusuapanyin David Kofi Owusu, has declared in anger that Percy Hagan is the legitimate chief of the area.
He disclosed that Mr. Percy Hagan is an imposter Chief and warned hm to stop parading himself as chief of the Sakyikrom.
The Abusuapanyin made it clear that the people of Sakyikrom only knows of Nana Osae Anka IV as the legally installed chief of the area but not Percy Hagan.
According to the Abusuapanyin, who is recognised as the legitimate personality when it comes to the selecting of a chief, Mr. Percy Hagan is only claiming to be the Chief of the area just to enrichen himself with properties meant for the good people of the area.
“There is a Higher Court Injunction on Percy Hagan and I therefore want to urge the general public to disregard his claims as the chief of Sakyikrom” he disclosed.
He also stated that Mr. Percy Hagan is only been shield by the Queenmother of the area, Ohenemaa Agyapabea Acheampomaa III, who is also currently facing the Akwamu Traditional Council for wrongly cursing him and his family members for the wrongs done.
The Abusuapanyin further stated that the Imposter Chief and the Queenmother recently flauted a High Court injunction and embarked on an Odwira Festival celebration in the area.
He also indicated that the Imposter chief using the title Odeifuo is against the tradition of Akwamu and Sakyikrom as a whole.
He also expressed worry for over some Military also flouting the law of the country and provided security for the imposter chief and the Queenmother during their illegal Odwira Festival celebration.
“In the history of Sakyikrom, no chief has been given the title Odeifuo, therefore Percy Hagan using the Odeifuo title is totally against our tradition,” the Abusuapnyin hinted.
“The criminal acts by Percy Hagan has gone a long way to have a negative impact on the development of Sakyikrom” he disclosed.
According to the Abusuapanyin the District Commander of Nsawam Police obeyed the High Court Order and refused them a police protection. He therefore alleged that some Military friends of a son of the Queenmother illegally provided security protection for them during the Odwira celebration.
